First day back after a week off for spring break = one tired teacher!
Last week was packed full of time with my boys. Ballgames, Captain America movie, Avengers birthday party, snuggling, and puppy searching. We have puppy fever, so we go to the pet store and love on all the puppies. :) We love them all and have decided that if we become millionaires we are starting a puppy farm and rescuing all dogs everywhere.

As much fun as I had, I was ready to get back in the swing of things today with my second grade sweeties. 32 days of school left!!!! I feel like there is so much to do and so little time! In math we are working on arrays. We watched a Brainpop video over arrays today, and then we used counters to practice making arrays. I found a super cute craftivity on Pinterest that we are going to make tomorrow. Array of sunshine! It's a sunshine template cut out of construction paper. The kiddos make up their own array and repeated addition fact in the middle. So cute! We will finish up the week working on an array booklet and some array worksheets that I made.

In language, we are working on closely related verbs and adjectives and how we distinguish the appropriate times and ways to use these words. Today we got moving and talked about words like peek and stare, toss and hurl, whimper and cry. We acted out some of the words, and then I put sentences on the board and we chose the appropriate word to complete the sentence. We are going to continue the lesson by illustrating a booklet of closely related verbs and adjectives tomorrow. I will be uploading a unit the unit on TPT tomorrow, so check it out! Have a great week! :)
